Versailles Apartments Unsafe

HI EVERYONE,

For many years we have all asked again and again to fix the dysfunctional fire alarm system that keeps on being set off at various hours often in the middle of the night, prompting our local fire station to have to come with full crew just to acknowledge it is a false alarm and reset it.

This has been a complete waste of their time and a dangerous nuisance for all residents living here.
One of the biggest issues is that no one in the building is trusting that the alarm is ringing for a valid fire emergency and don’t evacuate.

We have a lot of families with babies, children, elderly, and disabled people who would need time to evacuate in case of a real emergency…. And in order to evacuate at this point fire crew would need to come in and knock on doors risking everyone’s lives - all of that because of cost-cutting policies and refusal to re-invest money in a functional system.

I talked to the Fire Captain of Station 105 to get accurate data and since 2021 there have been 37 False Fire Alarms that they have been called for in the middle of the night.

THIS IS NOT OK !

Obvisously since talking, calling, writing to Management hasn’t worked for many years complaining about this and warning about the imminent danger, the next action is making this public and asking our community to SIGN & SHARE THIS PETITION.
