Why a Tenants Association at Versailles Apartments Woodland Hills?
One of the strongest tools that we have as tenants to protect our housing at Versailles Apartments Woodland Hills is to BUILD COMMUNITY. An open channel of communication between neighbors makes it possible to share experiences and information.
Community can mean different things for different people. One thing for sure is that the meaning of Community has changed since the pandemic. It’s up to each and every one to know what they want to get out of the Versailles Apartments Woodland Hills Community:
Getting to meet and know your neighbors, organize events together.
Learning about the people you live with who are different from us in language, ethnicity, race, sexuality, and beliefs.
Providing support for the elderly neighbors, care systems for children or neighbors who fall ill.
Defending our Rights as tenants, in the context of California’s worst housing crisis in recent memory.
Having more power to improve our living conditions and slow the incredible rent increases.
Much of a landlord’s power comes from isolating the tenants in a building, making us feel helpless, vulnerable, and alone. We hope that we will provide a solution so that no one in this building feels helpless and alone.
